#AskTheExpert: How Can You Still Market in the New GDPR World?
January 25 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
This FREE #AskTheExpert workshop, fully funded by the ERDF, is to find out if your business is compliant with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We are all tired of hearing about GDPR and its implications but businesses must be compliant and must understand its implications. So what is the reality of GDPR for your business?
South Coast Data Protection Consultants will provide an overview on the requirements for compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This will include:
- the data protection principles, what they mean and how they apply to organisations;
- how organisations can demonstrate that they comply with the principles;
- what is valid consent;
- how to satisfy the accountability principle (proving it);
- retention of personal data.
The workshop will also cover Subject Access Requests, Data Protection Impact Assessments and the requirement to report data protection breaches to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the data subject.
In addition, the workshop will look at marketing and the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2003 and the introduction of the new EPrivacy legislation that is due towards the end of 2018/2019.
The session will end with a Q&A so a perfect opportunity to ask all your questions.
SCDPC assist organisations in complying with data protection legislation including the GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. We provide data protection audits, compliance reviews, advice, training, consultancy services and we write policies and procedures.
