GDPR for Start Ups
May 17 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
This FREE Outset workshop, fully funded by the ERDF, takes you through the essentials of the new GDPR regulations and how they apply to your small/start up business, including your responsibilities, your next steps and additional resources.
The General Data Protection Regulations came into force in May 2018, and bring in new legally-enforceable controls and documentation for how businesses collect, use, and store data.
The GDPR applies to most UK businesses and organisations, and is a mandatory part of the compliance regime. You need to be aware of your responsibilities and your new business needs to be compliant!
We will cover:
- What is GDPR and who/what does it apply to?
- What are the key responsibilities and roles
- Data security under GDPR
- Marketing under GDPR
- Important documents and other articles
- Your next steps, and further resources
If you are registered as a sole trader, please could you bring a letter from HMRC (with your UTR number on), if you have not provided this already.
