You Are The Media Lunch Club | August
August 29 @ 12:15 pm - 1:45 pm£19.22
You Are The Media is a weekly email, sent every Thursday morning that encourages businesses to own the spaces that are theirs.
Lunch Club has been going since May 2016 and represents the real spirit of community.
The whole focus is to demonstrate the validity of an owned media approach. There are people standing up and making a change that is realistic and not in the realms of Red Bull, Coke etc. where people cannot relate to.
This is the definition of becoming the media:
A media company represents the ability to deliver a consistent message to a targeted audience through a preferred channel, in order to inform, enlighten and entertain.
We move the August occasion to a family place, Shelley Theatre.
There is a community that is growing, why hide behind something that arrives in an in-box.
Stop giving your money to the likes of Google, Facebook and buying lists of strangers. They do not care about the development of your business. Even worse companies who give it the big ‘I AM’ and don’t live by what they tell everybody else to behave.
WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM EVERY OTHER EVENT?
People are making a stand by delivering a consistent message to build their audience. Let’s showcase what they are doing and for you to take on board to help you build momentum.
WHAT IS THE AUGUST TOPIC?
Why Putting On An Event Is The Toughest Thing You Will Ever Do & Why You Shouldn’t Do It
This summer has already seen events such as the YATM Conference and the Adido Summit (at The Hilton), however, putting on a large scale event is filled with so much insecurity, anxiety and risk.
Let’s get to the heart of it and recognise that putting yourself in vulnerable places to do things that are not necessarily comfortable, is where reality lies.
By large scale event, this is something beyond a workshop for 20 or so people, but a B2B occasion for people to spend money, invest time and to be entertained and educated.
Let’s share the other side to what you read by people telling you should do it, but have never had the guts to bleed.
This will be a panel discussion and involve people such as Andy Headington (Adido Summit), Matt Desmier (Silicon Beach) and other people who put on B2B events within Dorset where there is a focus on some form of exchange ie. money and trust for delivery of a day.
